We drive south-east from Melbourne to reach Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park, where you will meet endangered species, kangaroos, wallabies and koalas plus an array of colourful birds and reptiles.
Our journey then leads onto Phillip Island, the home of the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix and our famous Little Penguins. Upon arrival on the Island, depending on the time of year and your interests, we will visit Woolamai beach to see surfers riding the waves.
Next we head to the township of Cowes where you will stay overnight. Enjoy some time at leisure.
You might like to join a cruise out to Seal Rocks and the Nobbies this afternoon (time permitting). The area is home to one of the largest fur seal colonies in Australia.
The next morning is at leisure to discover this beautiful seaside town further. Take a stroll or a swim at the patrolled beach.
Late afternoon you will be collected at your hotel in Cowes and continue your journey. You will be amazed by the dramatic west coast of the Island. At the Nobbies stroll along the boardwalk to experience the waves crashing along this rugged coastline, see the blowhole and be mesmerised by the stunning views. You might even encounter your first penguin nests.
Finally, a trip to Phillip Island is not complete without its black-tie gala event: the Penguin Parade. Head to the Visitor Centre to shop, have a coffee and meander along the boardwalk to the viewing platform where you will see the little penguins come ashore, decked out in their tuxedos as they hurry off to find their burrows.
